1. Month-End Closing
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing tasks including preparing journal entries and related schedules.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly in line with accounting standards.
- Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts such as accruals prepayments and fixed assets.
- Compile and submit the monthly OPR reporting pack.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Review and process vendor invoices and staff expense claims to ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to resolve any billing or payment issues.
- Manage customer accounts ensuring prompt and accurate invoicing.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and coordinate follow-ups for collections and settlements.
3. Audit & Compliance
- Prepare audit-related schedules and provide responses to auditor inquiries.
- Address and resolve any audit findings in a timely manner.
- Support the preparation of audited financial statements (AFS).
4. Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Compile necessary documents and reconciliations for tax reporting.
- Prepare corporate tax computations and ensure returns are submitted in compliance with local tax regulations.
- Assess withholding tax (WHT) obligations for payments to both local and international vendors.
- Ensure timely deduction payment and submission of WHT filings.
5. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support budget and forecast exercises by gathering data and preparing templates.
- Enter financial projections into planning tools or spreadsheets.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results to budgeted figures and provide initial commentary or data for Finance Manager review.
