Job Description
Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Math Teacher at Durango High School for the Fall Semester of the 25/26 school year. Colorado ubstitute authorization orteaching license required. Colorado teaching license with a Math endorsement or a demonstratedproficiency in grades 9-10 math preferred. Substitute assignment starts August 11 2025.
The rate for long-term substitutingis $265 per day.
Requirements include:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching license. A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also accepted for a candidate with demonstrated Math proficiency as outlined above. - Experience working with students in a classroom setting strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication basic language basic math and basicwriting skills.
- Minimum of two professional or academic references; family/friends are not categorized as professional or academic references.
