Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging differentiated instruction aligned with state standards and the needs of diverse learners.
- Foster a safe inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Use restorative practices and trauma-informed approaches to support student behavior and well-being.
- Monitor and assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative tools.
- Communicate regularly with families counselors and support staff to ensure student success.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Teaching Certification in the relevant subject area.
- Experience working with at-risk youth or in alternative education settings preferred.
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to equity inclusion and culturally responsive teaching.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
