Job Description

.6 Art TeacherAbington Public Schools is looking for a dynamic educator who values equity and social emotional learning and provides access to engaging learning experiences for all students at our two elementary schools. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success in building and sustaining strong relationships with students and families and value ongoing collaboration with colleagues. A solid understanding of the MA Arts Framework is required. The teacher will have a course load at both the middle and high school. Experience implementing strategies to support Multilingual Learners is candidates will:Be creative and innovative with an educational philosophy that all students can demonstrate artistic skills and habits of mindHave strengths in arts integration and visual thinking skills and possess knowledge of various movements media styles and world cultures artDemonstrate an unwavering commitment to educational equity and instructional excellenceProvide a safe inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all learnersCreate lesson plans aligned with current state and district standards which drive instruction through formative assessment and differentiationEngage in reflective practice in concert with supervisor and team aligned to the instructional focus of the schoolIncorporate strategies that support Multilingual Learners into every learning activityCommunicate effectively with students families colleagues and administrators
