Job Description
Job Summary:
The In-House Substitute Teacher reports to the building on a daily basis and provides consistent and reliable instructional support by filling in for classroom teachers during absences. This position ensures minimal disruption to the learning environment and maintains a positive structured classroom atmosphere.
10-month position full time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
Follow lesson plans provided by the teacher or administration.
Maintain order and ensure student safety and engagement.
Support a positive learning environment and enforce school rules.
Communicate effectively with students staff and administrators.
Provide instructional assistance as needed and ensure continuity in the learning process.
Maintain accurate attendance records and report any incidents to school leadership.
Perform other related duties as assigned by building administrators.
Qualifications:
- The minimum requirements for this position are a high school diploma or GED. The preferred qualifications are sixty (60) or more completed college credit hours.
- Must be ableto pass a background check.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a current Kansas Certified Teacher License Standard Substitute License or Emergency Substitute License.
