As the Executive Housekeeper you will report directly to the Executive Assistant Manager and be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our Housekeeping department and supporting the Front Office Team. Due to Stamford Plaza Brisbane outsourcing our housekeeping and laundry functions the main focus of this role is ensuring the quality of cleanliness and maintaining 5 star standards.
Duties include:
- Attending daily briefing of outsourced company
- Checking standard of stay over and departure rooms
- Checking invoices against contractual obligations and tasks delivered
- Meticulous preparation of VIP rooms
- Guest liaison during arrival and departure of our guests
- Following up with guest feedback
- Stock take and inventory control
- Ensuring outsourced staff are trained to the Stamford standard and deliver 5 star service
- Ensuring workplace health and safety obligations are met
- Reporting on any non compliance
- Fostering excellent working relationship with outsourced company
Qualifications and experience required for the role:
- Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper in similar sized operation or operating dynamic
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the Housekeeping Department including; WHS chemical handling housekeeping procedures uniform issuing public area cleaning room standards and inventory control
- Previous experience of 3rd party contract management
- Experienced using Check EAM or a similar purchasing system
- Experience with Opera
- Must have strong general computer skills and analytical understanding
To thrive in this role the successful candidate must:
- Constantly measure productivity and contracting costs to ensure budgets are met
- Have the ability to prioritise tasks remain organised and in control with daily responsibilities
- Have the ability to produce analytical reports and provide recommendations to Senior Management around the workings of the Housekeeping Department
- Complete projects to assist the Hotel in its ambition to continually upgrade its facilities and services
- Have a high level of communication verbal written and listening
- Be an Australian Resident or have the legal right to work in Australia on a full time basis
