About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead with a strong background in AWS serverless architectures Kubernetes and Python. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and guiding engineering teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a cloud-native environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable secure and high-performance solutions in AWS using serverless architectures and containerization (Kubernetes).
- Architect and develop backend services using and Python.
- Collaborate closely with product managers architects and developers to drive technical direction and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Own technical decisions and be accountable for the quality and maintainability of codebases.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members and help grow engineering excellence across the team.
- Conduct design/code reviews and contribute to the establishment of engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in distributed systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Lead (not just a Senior Developer) in cloud-native and backend systems.
- Strong expertise in AWS particularly with serverless services (e.g. Lambda API Gateway DynamoDB).
- Solid hands-on experience with Kubernetes for orchestration and microservices deployment.
- Proficiency in and Python development including deep knowledge of backend design patterns and RESTful APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying highly scalable and available systems in production environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana CloudWatch).
- Exposure to agile development methodologies.
