This role is integral to our Development &Marketing team.
Reporting to the Director Development The SDOs focus ison corporate partnership development that brings firsthand experience inportfolio analysis segmentation fundraising and stewardship excellence. TheSDO is an integral part of the development team building mutually beneficialpartnerships with corporations and organizations while growing a pipeline andportfolio of approximately 100 corporate donors.
This role cultivates and buildspositive relationships with new and loyal corporate donors with gifts of $5000to $100000. You will develop implement and manage strategic fundraising plansfor donors to increase revenue and achieve fundraising goals. You will createand deliver excellent stewardship communications that recognize partners andshow the impact of their giving.
The SDO is expected to meet donors in person host donorengagements and tours as well as support key events. This role is onsite withflexibility and availability to participate in occasional evening and weekendpartner engagements and events.
KeyResponsibilities
Primary relationshipmanager and lead for an assigned portfolio of corporate supporters and partners($5000 - $100000).
Expand the donorpipeline through business development and prospect identification buildingmeaningful relationships by inspiring new supporters to partner with RMHCToronto to support more families.
Apply leading practices incorporate partnerships and pursue new and innovative strategies to expand corporategiving and sponsorship opportunities.
Create persuasive fundingproposals presentations and briefing notes for partner communications andsolicitations.
Negotiate and implementpartnership agreements with mutual benefits and value to RMHC Toronto and ourpartners.
Develop and implement acommunication plan to ensure consistent and relevant brand messaging with corporatepartners.
Steward therelationship with key corporate representatives creating and delivering annualstewardship plans for partners to communicate impact to their employees and/orclients and drive value to their business.
Develop and executeengagement plans tailored to partners and constituents which may include toursactivations and other initiatives.
Collect and analyze data tomeasure and report the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and use insightsto refine strategies and tactics.
Generate innovative sponsorshipconcepts and secure sponsorship support for signature events.
Represent RMHC Toronto at fundraisingand recognition events (cheque presentations speaking opportunitiesetc.).
Book host and deliver RMHCToronto engagement activities with a focus on Meals from theHeart Program (includes some evening and weekend work).
Manage select local relationshipsfor the RMHC National Partnership Program including supporting the execution ofdeliverables and impact reporting for national partners.
Education& Experience
3- 5 years progressive experience in a fundraisingrole specifically soliciting and closing donor gifts at the $10k level is anasset.
College diploma or bachelors degree in a relevantfield (e.g. Fundraising Marketing Communications Public RelationsBusiness or a related discipline)
Proven experience in fundraising partner and donorengagement public relations or a related field with a track record ofsuccessful initiatives.
Experience working in healthcare charity ornot-for-profit organization or McDonalds is an asset.
CFRE designation is an asset.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Exceptional relationship-building and communicationskills to engage solicit and steward corporate donors and partners.
Proven ability to develop persuasive business casesand negotiate corporate sponsorships donations and engagement opportunities.
Strong knowledge of corporate giving cause marketingand sponsorship trends with a talent for aligning mutual value.
Skilled in managing the full donor cyclefromcultivation and solicitation to stewardship and administrative tracking.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strongproject management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in fundraising CRMs (ideally RaisersEdge/NXT) for tracking reporting and donor analysis.
Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenuegoals through corporate partnerships.
Confident presenter and ambassadorcomfortable leadingtours hosting donor visits and speaking at events.
Creative and strategic thinker with a flair forcustomized engagement and stewardship.
Collaborative and accountable with the ability towork independently and in a team environment.
Willing and able to travel within the GTA as required.
Additional Requirements: Completionof satisfactory reference check and a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
