Job Description
EduTalent are recruiting for a Year 2 Homeroom Teacher to join a respected British International School in Yangon. The school follows the Cambridge curriculum from Early Years through to A-Levels and is known for its inclusive and student-centred approach to learning.
The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for the academic progress personal development and pastoral care of a primary class. Working as part of an international team you will:
Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons across core subjects including English Maths and Science
Plan and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Monitor and assess student progress maintaining accurate records
Establish a safe supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on student performance and wellbeing
Support positive behaviour emotional growth and independent learning
Participate in school meetings CPD events and extracurricular activities
Follow all safeguarding and child protection guidelines
Requirements
Essential
Bachelor s degree in Education or relevant subject
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS Diploma in Teaching)
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
Strong spoken and written English
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Familiarity with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum
Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
Desirable
Experience teaching in international or bilingual settings
Experience working with EAL learners
Willingness to contribute to wider school life
