Job: Rail Yard Workers

Responsibilities

• Operating Transloading Equipment used in the transfer process.
• Loading and Unloading: Moving materials from railcars to trucks and ensuring proper loading procedures.
• Equipment Maintenance: Routine inspections and maintenance on transloading equipment.
• Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of loads shipments and inventory including basic computer operation. Creating bills of lading etc.
• Communication: Communicating with other teams drivers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate all forklifts and material moving equipment.
• Hazardous Material Handling is a plus

Skills

• Beginner/Intermediate knowledge of Transload operations and maintenance procedures.
• Adaptable to frequent workflow changes and varying weather conditions.
• Ownership mindset Self-reliant Proactive Problem-solver Strong Interpersonal skills Commitment to high-quality work.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time lifting/carrying up to 50lbs climbing reaching bending squatting.
• Must have own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol and criminal background check
