Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle a caseload of workers compensation matters from inception to resolution
  • Conduct and defend depositions including those of clients medical providers and expert witnesses
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings motions discovery responses and settlement agreements
  • Attend mediations hearings and other proceedings before the Judge of Compensation Claims
  • Advise clients on case status legal options and strategy
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and update case management systems regularly
  • Collaborate with internal legal staff and case managers to support client goals

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and in good standing
  • 02 years of experience in workers compensation or related litigation
  • Must be fluent in Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Prior experience taking or defending depositions
  • Strong oral advocacy legal writing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or clinical experience in workers compensation or personal injury law
  • Familiarity with Florida workers compensation statutes and procedures
  • Trial or hearing experience is a plus

Schedule: This position is ON-SITE in our Fort. Lauderdale office with no remote/ hybrid schedule. Schedule is Monday Friday 8-hour shifts 9:00am-6:30pm
