Description

The Products and Platform Division within GHD is a leading B2G organization committed to helping governments transform the way they serve their communities. We operate a sales-led go-to-market strategy with two core products Govstack and bids&tenders. We are seeking a strategic and analytical specialist to not only optimize our marketing operations but to transform our data into actionable insights serving as a strategic advisor to the rest of the marketing team.

The Strategic Marketing Operations Specialist is a critical technical and strategic advisory role. You will be responsible for the administration and health of our marketing technology stack with a primary focus on HubSpot. Beyond systems management a core function is to analyze marketing datafrom campaign performance and website behavior to intent signals and funnel metrics. You will leverage these insights to proactively recommend strategic adjustments and optimizations to the Head of Marketing and your peers driving continuous improvement in our marketing effectiveness and revenue contribution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Data Analysis & Recommendation:

Proactively analyze all marketing data sources (HubSpot GA4 ad platforms CRM etc.) to identify trends opportunities and inefficiencies.

Translate complex data into clear actionable insights and strategic recommendations for the Head of Marketing and the Marketing Team.

Lead discussions and presentations on data findings influencing strategy and execution with data-driven arguments.

  • HubSpot Administration & Optimization:

Serve as the primary in-house expert for HubSpot Marketing Hub

Design build and optimize marketing automation workflows (e.g. lead nurturing lead scoring lead routing sales sequences).

Ensure database health hygiene and segmentation accuracy (deduplication list management data enrichment processes).

Provide ongoing training and best practices guidance to marketing and sales teams on HubSpot usage.

Manage HubSpot settings user permissions custom properties and overall system configuration as required.

  • Marketing Operations & Process Improvement:

Design build and optimize scalable marketing operations processes to enhance efficiency data integrity and effectiveness across the entire lead-to-revenue funnel.

Build and refine automation workflows (e.g. lead nurturing lead scoring lead routing sales sequences) to ensure efficient and relevant prospect journeys.

Oversee database health hygiene and segmentation accuracy (deduplication list management data enrichment).

Ensure marketing activities within HubSpot adhere to data privacy regulations (e.g. CASL GDPR PIPEDA) and company policies.

  • Marketing Technology Management & Integrations:

Serve as the primary in-house expert and technical lead for HubSpot and other integrated marketing platforms.

Manage existing integrations and research evaluate and implement new marketing technologies or data sources (e.g. advanced intent data providers data visualization tools predictive analytics platforms) to enhance capabilities.

  • Analytics & Reporting Infrastructure:

Ensure proper tracking and data flow between all marketing platforms including Google Analytics 4 (GA4) the website and HubSpot.

Develop and maintain comprehensive marketing dashboards and reports that provide a clear view of performance against KPIs.

Provide technical support for website functionality forms and landing page setup as required.

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Level

What you will bring to the team:

  • 5 7 years of progressive experience in a Marketing Operations or Marketing Analytics role preferably in a B2B or B2G environment.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Deep hands-on experience as a HubSpot Administrator (Marketing Hub essential) with advanced automation and reporting capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
  • Experience with buyer intent data tools and strategies is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills with experience managing marketing technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate data insights to diverse audiences.
  • HubSpot certifications are a plus.

Experience

  • General Experience: Experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised (13 months to 3 years)
  • Managerial Experience: Basic experience of coordinating the work of others (4 to 6 months)
