Job Description

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager the Compliance Coordinator is responsible for completion of data forms required by the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). The Johns Hopkins Hematologic Malignancies Department directly supports the Johns Hopkins Hospital clinical program by meeting data reporting obligations to the CIBMTR. The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the organization entry maintenance and accuracy of all clinical data for complex and detailed reporting.

HOURS: Hybrid 90% - 100% on-site (remote work assigned only at the discretion of department mangaer after orientation and first few months training)

ON-SITE LOCATION: 201 N. Broadway Viragh Building M2018 Baltimore MD 21287

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor in Biological or Social Sciences (required)

Knowledge:

  • Familiar with medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and diseases
  • Familiar with online databases and obtaining access to new systems
  • Ability to review medical records and complete accurate data entry in database

Work Experience and Skills:

  • Requires 2 years of related experience in complex and detailed clinical trials/medical research or medical data entry required including data abstraction.
  • Proficiency in the use of software applications databases spreadsheets and word processing required.
  • Strong data entry and transcription skills required. Accuracy is key!
  • EPIC experience required.
  • Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Mostly desk work however some patient-facing features may be necessary for patient consent forms and process. Compassion clear communication and attention to detail are important.
