Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Collision Technician to join our auto-body repair team. The Collision Technician is responsible for diagnosing repairing and restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition following collisions or other damage. This role requires technical proficiency attention to detail and a commitment to the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.

What youll do:

  • Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine the best repair strategies.
  • Disassemble vehicles as needed documenting parts and damage for repair plans and estimators.
  • Repair or replace damaged structural components body panels bumpers fenders and trim using approved techniques and tools (welding pulling measuring etc.).
  • Fit align and reassemble repaired or replaced parts to vehicle frames and bodies.
  • Straighten frames and unibody structures using computerized measuring systems and frame machines.
  • Grind sand and finish repaired areas in preparation for refinishing or paint.
  • Work closely with estimators painters and other shop personnel to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of repairs
  • Follow all safety procedures manufacturer guidelines and shop protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs completed and report any hidden or supplemental damage to supervisors.
  • Keep work area clean organized and free of hazards.

What youll bring:

  • Proven experience as an auto body or collision technician (I-CAR ASE or OEM certifications a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle structures body repair methods and shop equipment.
  • Ability to use welding equipment frame machines and electronic measuring systems.
  • Proficient in reading estimates repair orders and parts diagrams.
  • Keen eye for detail and quality workmanship.
  • Physical ability to stand bend lift and maneuver heavy parts as required.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
  • Reliable punctual and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
