What You Will Do
The Institutional Portfolio Operations Specialist serves as the key provider of accurate investment portfolio data to the entire CC&L this role you will:
- Reconcile various items including but not limited to: cash transactions holdings futures various derivative products dividends soft dollars units and alternative investments.
- Communicate with custodians prime brokers portfolio managers and key personnel across CC&L to investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Communicate critical portfolio information and oversee the flow of sensitive information for all CC&L affiliates.
- Work with auditors to assist in providing accurate and timely data for audits of our institutional client accounts.
- Communicate with our custodians and prime brokers to set up daily delivery of external files for reconciliation purposes and to resolve data-related issues.
- Participate in operational projects focusing on automation efficiency and the scalability of IPOs services.
What You Will Bring
- Investment Knowledge:You have an undergraduate degree in Finance Business Administration or related field and a genuine interest for the investment industry with a minimum of 1 year of experience in an institutional investment firm bank or trust company focusing on investment operations and reconciliations.
- MBA freshers with a strong academic foundation and interest in investment operations are also welcome to apply.
- Collaborative Communication:You can articulate yourself clearly through both verbal and written mediums and work well with others to resolve complex issues.
- Inquisitive Mind:You have the ability to think rationally and solve problems effectively. Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives developing and automating process is beneficial.
- Critical Thinking: You have a proven ability to problem solve in situations with less than complete information. You demonstrate strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and diagnose further develop solutions.
- Curiosity: You have a thirst for knowledge and lifelong learning. You learn quickly and take responsibility for own learning and development.
