VicRoads is progressing August 2022 we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super Australian Retirement Trust and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access infrastructure and safety.
Annual salary range: $100098 - $125000 plus super
Employment type: Full-time / Ongoing

About the opportunity
We are seeking a Category Manager to join our Operations Procurement team. This role is pivotal in driving value across a diverse range of indirect procurement categories including but not limited to print mail language services and payment solutions. You will lead strategic sourcing supplier governance and continuous improvement initiatives that support VicRoads transformation and customer-first approach.
About you
Were looking for a strategic and commercially minded procurement professional with strong experience in category management. Youll be confident in stakeholder engagement contract negotiation and driving value beyond cost savings. Your ability to analyse market trends and align procurement strategies with business goals will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category management strategies to maximise value and efficiency.
Lead sourcing activities including RFx documentation evaluation and contract negotiation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and strategic partnerships.
Analyse spend data and market trends to inform procurement decisions.
Ensure compliance with risk privacy and data security policies.
