Position Overview
The IT Manager Romania is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all IT operations and initiatives across the Romanian entities. This role combines disciplinary and functional leadership acting as the primary interface between local IT teams the Corporate IT Hub Romania Corporate IT Germany and the local business management. The IT Manager Romania ensures efficient IT demand and escalation management controls local IT budgets and contributes actively to corporate IT projects & IT services including global integration and service delivery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & People Management
- Provide disciplinary leadership for local IT staff and team members from the Corporate IT Hub employed at RETRASIB.
- Act as an interface to Corporate IT Germany and offer functional guidance to IT colleagues working in other Romanian entities.
- Foster collaboration performance development and motivation within local and cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Interface Management
- Act as the key point of contact for local business leadership across various Romanian legal entities.
- Ensure alignment between business needs and IT capabilities through proactive communication and coordination.
- Demand & Escalation Management
- Manage and prioritize IT demands from the Romanian entities in alignment with corporate IT strategies.
- Own the escalation process for critical IT issues and ensure timely resolution.
- IT Cost Management
- Oversee and control local IT budgets including forecasting planning and cost optimization.
- Ensure transparency and compliance with corporate IT financial guidelines.
- Project Management & Execution
- Lead and support corporate IT projects locally especially in the areas of integration service delivery and standardization.
- Collaborate with global teams to implement IT solutions effectively in the Romanian context.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Business Informatics or a related field.
- Several years of experience in IT leadership roles ideally in an international or matrix organization.
- Strong background in IT service management infrastructure and application landscapes.
- Proven experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Romanian and English.
- Solid understanding of IT financial management and vendor coordination.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working across multiple legal entities or business units within a country.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service frameworks.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive hands-on approach.
- Ability to manage complexity and align local needs with global standards.
