Work Arrangements: Due to the nature of the work and operational requirements this position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement (combination of working onsite and telework).Employees in this position who telework will be required to travel to the identified work site at least three times per weekor a minimum of 60% of their regular work schedule at their own expense.

We are looking for an Environmental Program Coordinator to support our Health Safety and Environment Branch (HSE). The Environmental Program Coordinator would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity Excellence Respect and Creativity.
Under the guidance and oversight of an Environmental Officer the Environmental Program Coordinator ensures the effective delivery of multiple corporate environmental programs (e.g. Hazardous Waste Wastewater Petroleum Storage Tanks Species at Risk Halocarbons etc) by administering and coordinating program activities developing & maintaining related processes ensuring timely reporting and supporting the implementation of the program to clients. Technical data will be required to be analyzed and reported on.
The Environmental Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating and managing the NRCs environmental initiatives. The coordinator interacts with NRC employees HSE colleagues and other stakeholders addressing queries providing information and coordinating logistical needs such as testing training procurement and meetings. They establish processes for coordination creating and maintaining templates and process guides to streamline operations. Additionally the coordinator develops and modifies tools and procedures presenting them to the user community offering technical support during implementation and ensuring ongoing monitoring and maintenance. Their responsibilities also include managing program infrastructure handling documents and implementing effective records management methods. Moreover by leveraging their program knowledge they identify risks analyze data and offer recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

A post-secondary diploma in a field related to Environmental Studies such as Biology Environmental Engineering or a related field.
An equivalent combination of work-related experience training and education may also be considered.

In addition the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800per year.
