Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to lead field operations on major commercial and industrial construction projects across the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. This position is ideal for a seasoned construction leader who has previously managed ground-up builds in sectors like tilt-wall warehouses healthcare data centers manufacturing facilities and cold storage distribution centers.
The General Superintendent will be responsible for overall on-site performance subcontractor coordination site safety scheduling and quality control ensuring delivery of the project within scope time and budget.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall on-site management for large commercial or industrial construction projects
Coordinate and supervise all field operations subcontractors site logistics and materials
Enforce site safety OSHA compliance and company standards for environmental health and safety
Collaborate with project managers engineers architects and owners to maintain communication and resolve issues
Oversee scheduling and sequencing of work to meet project milestones and deadlines
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality and design specifications
Manage manpower equipment and material deliveries on site
Report progress regularly and assist in cost control and change management
Lead and mentor site supervisors assistant superintendents and other field staff
Proactively identify risks develop mitigation strategies and resolve jobsite conflicts
Experience: 10 years of progressive experience in commercial/industrial construction
Project Focus: Must have field leadership experience on one or more of the following:
Tilt-wall or concrete panel construction
Healthcare facilities or hospitals
Cold storage or refrigerated warehouses
Manufacturing or industrial facilities
Data centers or mission-critical environments
Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Atlanta Metropolitan Area
Proven ability to lead large field teams and manage multiple trades simultaneously
Excellent understanding of construction drawings specifications and contracts
Strong knowledge of jobsite safety programs OSHA standards and best practices
Proficient with construction management tools reporting software and mobile field technology
High level of integrity leadership and ability to represent the company on high-profile projects
Familiarity with Procore PlanGrid or other project management software
Experience working on fast-track or design-build project delivery methods
First Aid/CPR OSHA 30 or similar safety certifications preferred
Ability to manage union and non-union job sites (project-dependent)
This is a field-based role with the majority of time spent on active job sites
Must be able to walk stand and navigate large construction sites for extended periods
Occasional travel to project meetings or client offices may be required
Must be able to lift up to 25 50 lbs occasionally and work in various weather conditions
