Job Description
Unit: Subacute / Step-Down
Shift: 12 hour Nights
Schedule: Per Diem
Provide skilled nursing care to subacute (step-down) patients during 12-hour day shifts. The ideal candidate is experienced in acute care and can function independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:-
Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment planning implementation evaluation)

Monitor and record vital signs telemetry and IV infusions

Administer medications and intravenous therapies accurately

Provide ongoing assessment and management of patients with complex medical conditions

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team and physicians
-
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to protocols
-
Participate in performance improvement and in-service training
-
Respond to emergencies appropriately
-
State RN license required
-
Minimum 2 years of acute care or step-down nursing experience required

Certifications:
-
BLS (AHA) required
-
ACLS and/or PALS preferred
-
-
Proficient in electronic medical records and common hospital systems

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
