POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Parenting and Adoption Support Services the Georgia Center for Resources and Support (GACRS) Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of GACRS services throughout the state. This position is specifically responsible for the direct day-to-day supervision of the GACRS staff including any contract staff who conduct GACRS training etc. The position is also responsible for having knowledge of programmatic budget including policies and procedures finances recruitment reporting and outcomes etc.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The primary responsibilities of the Supervisor include but are not limited to:
- Ensure Agency policies and procedures are understood and implemented by staff.
- Assist the Director of Parenting and Adoption Support Services with all recruiting efforts of job applicants.
- Consult with the Director of Parenting and Adoption Support Services for staff development and training if needed.
- Manage assigned aspects of the programs finances including developing and overseeing budgets processing invoices etc.
- Attend all agency unit and community meetings and events that are related to job responsibilities.
- Provide ongoing supervision/coaching evaluation etc. to all program staff.
- Develop and implement a quality assurance component with assistance from the CQI department which tracks programmatic goals targets and outcomes.
- Oversee the operation of the Lending Library.
- Assist Resource Advisors in the planning and implementation of adoptive foster guardianship and kinship parents support activities as required within their regions.
- Assist in development and implementation of website needs.
- Assist in the development & distribution of marketing materials.
- Work in partnership with the Administrative Team DHR/DFCS Liaison and Contracts Managers.
- Collaborate with the Director of Parenting and Adoption Support Services to plan and implement special projects assigned by DHS or the agency.
- Represent GACRS at events community meetings and professional exchanges.
- Work in partnership with the Finance department to ensure the programs remain fiscally sound and adheres to the DHS Contracts and Families First budgets.
- Work with the Virtual Website Assistant and Administrative Assistant to submit accurate monthly billing and statistical reports by the fifth business day of each month.
- Work as needed with the Director of Parenting and Adoption Support Services in the development and implementation of the agency Strategic Plan goals and objectives unit work plans marketing strategies and staff productivity standards.
- Ability to work within a hybrid environment that combines both virtual and in-person responsibilities.
- Complete all other duties/responsibilities assigned including administrative tasks.

- Takes the initiative including utilizing a problem solving and a solution focus approach.
- Demonstrates consistent time management skills and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in social work counseling or marriage and family therapy or related human service field required.
- Masters degree preferred or a
- Minimum of five years of experience working with serving adoptive foster kinship or guardianship families.
- Three years experience of training workshop presentation adult education and/or group facilitation.
- Three years experience of management/supervisory responsibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint SharePoint)
- Comfort and skill with public speaking advocating appropriately excellent interpersonal and relational skills to work with families other professionals within communities.
- Has a valid drivers license and a vehicle available to use on the job.
