Job Description
This position is for a Landscape Technician with a landscape contractor located in Kewanee MS (15 miles east of Meridian; 1 mile from the Kewanee exti on 1-20/59).
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for following landscape crew leaders instructions
- Will need to learn the proper operation of various types of outdoor power equipment (trimmers edgers blowers push mowers etc.)
- Installation of plants mulch irrigation systems lighting systems patios decks etc. May be exposed to chemicals and fertilizers
- Training will be provided in all areas
- Must be organized trust worthy sharp minded courteous and able to get along well with others
Requirements and Qualifications: Good attitude; ability to pass pre-employment test and background check. Non-tobacco company (no smoking or chewing allowed in vehicles or on jobs sites).
Pay scale for the Technician position is $10 to $12 per hour depending on experience and demonstration that you are capable of meeting company standards and requirements. 35-50 hours during season.
Applicants with a drivers license will be given closer consideration. Those candidates that work hard and show a desire to grow will have opportunities to expand to a crew leader position with a chance to make more.
