Job Description
As a Prompt Experience Designer youll dive into the fascinating world of conversational AI where your creativity meets cutting-edge technology. Youll spend your day exploring the intricate balance between user intent brand personality and technological capabilities designing prompts that make interactions with AI feel natural intuitive and delightful.

Key job responsibilities
- Design sophisticated prompts that enhance user experiences across interactive platforms and research workflows
- Create evaluation frameworks to test and optimize prompt effectiveness and quality
- Develop language-first content design methodologies that leverage conversational AI principles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex AI capabilities into user-friendly interactions
- Conduct user research to validate prompt performance and drive continuous improvement
- 7 years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Technical understanding of AI interaction design principles
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and expertise in refining AI prompts for optimal performance
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma ProtoPie Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
- Background in computational linguistics natural language processing or cognitive science
- Experience with conversational AI product development
- Familiarity with design systems and component-based design approaches
- Knowledge of prototyping techniques using front-end technologies
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and prompt engineering techniques
- Strong knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) with demonstrated ability to develop and integrate LLM-based solutions
- Proficient in core programming and machine learning technologies including Python development AI prompt engineering and LLM model optimization
- Demonstrates a hands-on builder approach effectively communicating ideas through rapid prototyping and iterative design solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
