Primary Function of Position:
The primary function of the PMC Coordinator is to coordinate all PMC activities coordinate the calibration of equipment utilizing outside services assess failure modes of semi-automated and automated test equipment perform equipment calibration and complete on-site preventive maintenance of equipment through-out ISO facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The PMC Coordinator works independently to implement Intuitives PMC program. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Coordinates Preventive Maintenance & Calibration (PMC) activities for the specific site
- Compiles monthly planning and schedules inhouse technicians to perform maintenance and calibration activities
- Schedules 3rd party vendors to perform maintenance and calibration activities as applicable
- Maintains PMC database and generates monthly PM and Calibration reports
- Issues asset numbers for new or duplicate tooling & fixtures
- Manages Equipment Events (EEs) in SAP ensuring satisfactory and immediate response to repair and/or escalate
- Performs on-site preventive maintenance & calibration activities on EFTs (Equipment fixtures and tools)
- Supports assessment and troubleshooting of equipment not performing per equipment specifications
- Identifies out-of-tolerance results and takes corrective action
- Maintains calibration certificates and user manuals
- Assists and/or performs Initial / Operational qualification and validation activities on Equipment Fixtures and Tooling
- Develops and maintains spare parts inventory
- Develops and maintains replicate fixture/tooling list
- Maintains appropriate documentation and records of PMC activities. Documents test results using paper and electronic means (Word Excel SAP).
- Follows all corporate safety and production procedures and regulations
- Performs any other projects or duties that may be assigned
Qualifications :
Required Knowledge Skills and Experience:
- Hands-on technician with at least 2-year work experience in the Optic / production environment or applicable successfully completed apprenticeship as a precision optician or mechanics (Feinoptiker) with additional training in mechanical engineering with focus on quality and product management
- Great attitude eager willing/able to take initiative works well with others in team environment
- Attention to detail with focus on quality
- Previous experience with ISO 9001 ISO 13485 or similar QMS a plus
- Understanding of Quality Control Inspection Metrology PMC and GMP
- Comfortable with all phases of the product development process including prototype assembly test debug transfer and sustaining
- Understand the basic material flow and manufacturing/testing process from the stock room to finished goods
- Report quality issues to the next level
- Good creative problem-solving skills
- Experience with measurement tools: dial calipers micrometers force gauges Instron and other materials testing equipment
- Secure handling of the MS-Office applications and the companys internal IT systems; experience with SAP is a plus
- Intercultural skills
- Good knowledge on written and verbal communication skills in English
- High interest in technical contexts and manual skills
