Job Description

Position Overview
The Sales Desk Manager is a key leadership role within the dealership responsible for overseeing and driving the performance of the sales team while managing the sales desk operations. This position requires extensive experience in internet sales and expertise in managing online leads. The Sales Desk Manager will work closely with the sales team to ensure consistent achievement of sales goals exceptional customer service and efficient processes that align with the dealerships objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Desk Operations: Manage day-to-day operations of the sales desk including structuring deals presenting financing options and ensuring smooth transitions between sales and finance departments.
  • Internet Sales Management: Lead and optimize internet sales processes managing online lead generation response times and customer follow-ups to maximize digital sales opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Provide training coaching and mentoring to the sales team ensuring they are skilled in both traditional and internet sales techniques.
  • Customer Relations: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by actively engaging in resolving escalated customer concerns and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales metrics including conversion rates lead-to-sale ratios and team performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure all deals comply with dealership policies industry regulations and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a sales management role within an automotive dealership with a focus on internet sales.
  • Strong understanding of digital sales platforms CRM systems and online lead management tools.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a track record of motivating and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive financing and compliance regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisions and drive performance.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools including CRM platforms DMS systems and tools like Vauto ect.

Pay Range: The Sales Desk Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Salary Compensation of between $5720.00 and $6000.00. The position also pays a bonus based on the departments performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a leader & provide focus for your Sales team

  • Accountability management style

  • Work directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships and help to enhance the sales process

  • Assist General Manager and GSM in overseeing training and supervision of all dealership sales employees

  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards

  • Build rapport with customers to establish customer network

  • Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing deals

  • Help manage productivity of sales department

  • Maintains good working relationship with manufacturer and lending institutions

  • Facilitate regular sales training for continue team growth

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Dealership management experience Honda experience a bonus

  • V-auto knowledge bought in to velocity sales in the used cars dept.

  • Must have internet sales experience and understand the importance in todays market

  • Ability to desk a deal and close a deal sales manager should be a hands on leader

  • Must be interested in training additional sales associates and work within a team environment

  • Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday

  • Clean driving record

  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
