40Summary:
The Librarian is responsible for all aspects of health science librarian services including reference collection management circulation and technical addition this position will support consumer health services and the development production and maintenance of patient education content using plain language and health literacy principles.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in library services from an American Library Association accredited program.
3 years of library experience required; preferably in a healthcare system or academic medical center.
Prefer experience in using and teaching others to use medical nursing and consumer health databases in the classroom and one-on-one settings.
Prefer strong editing graphic design and communications skills particularly the ability to turn complex text into plain language
Prefer basic experience with SharePoint Libguides Epic electronic medical record systems and desktop publishing software.
Must have outstanding communication interpersonal and collaborative skills as well as strong organizational skills.
Certification/Licensure:
Credentialing by the Medical Library Associations (MLA) Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) is preferred or working toward AHIP.
