Bunge is looking for aRegional Internal Controls and SOX Compliance Manager. This role provides leadership and direction for all internal control activities ensures full compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and internal controls. Overseeing the entire SOX compliance lifecycle from the annual risk assessment and scoping to testing remediation and reporting. This position requires a leader with excellent communication analytical and technical skills combined with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Main responsibilities:

Strategy

• Develop and manage the sub regional SOX strategy in alignment with global standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay current on regulations best practices and technologies (e.g. AI RPA) integrating them into the SOX compliance program.

Execution & Monitoring

• Oversee SOX testing (walkthroughs control testing documentation) and ensure consistency and quality of results.
• Manage the remediation of deficiencies supporting process owners through resolution.
• Projects: Assess compliance impacts of financial system and process changes.
• Continuing support and advisory on SOX /IC related queries to the business.
• Support internal / external audits with required documentation and access.
• Monitor and improve internal controls over financial reporting using data analytics and control performance reviews.

User Access Governance

• Oversee user provisioning segregation of duties and conflict mitigation processes across systems and applications.

Reporting & Communication

• Report SOX compliance status risks and remediation plans to key stakeholders and leadership.
• Deliver SOX training and promote awareness of compliance practices across the region.

Automation & Innovation

• Identify and implement automation and data analytics to improve control efficiency.

People management

• Lead and mentor a team of SOX team promoting compliance culture and continuous improvement.

Education / Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of internal audit techniques SOX regulations internal control frameworks and PCAOB Auditing Standards.
• Deep understanding of business processes financial reporting and the technical aspects of SOX compliance.
• /- 8 years of experience in external internal audit internal controls incl. managing SOX in a multinational organization.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office SAP and GRC software.
