About the Role
Were seeking an analytical detail-driven and people-focused Assistant Director of Finance to join our dynamic hospitality team! If youre passionate about finance leadership and operations-and thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings a new challenge-youll feel right at home here.
This role is responsible for supervising the daily operations of accounting functions including Payroll Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable General Ledger Income Journal Cashiering Internal Controls and Taxes. Youll be a key right hand to the Director of Finance playing a vital role in ensuring financial excellence across hotel portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coach and mentor accounting staff across payroll A/R A/P night audit and cashiering.
- Ensure all financial transactions are timely accurate and compliant with company policies and government regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports statements and forecasts.
- Oversee reconciliation of general ledger accounts and bank statements.
- Assist in annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting.
- Support internal audits and implement improvements to strengthen internal controls.
- Serve as acting Director of Finance during absences.
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in hotel finance/accounting with supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial systems and GAAP.
- Proficiency in analyzing financial data managing budgets and driving cost control.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Hands-on experience with payroll tax reporting and month-end close.
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with all departments.
- Strong integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with financial software systems (e.g. M3 Oracle SAP etc.)
- Background in hotel leases and compliance contracts.
- Previous experience supporting hotel openings or transitions.
