The Production Manager is responsible for the overall planning coordination and control of manufacturing processes at our heavy steel fabrication facility. This role ensures that products are fabricated efficiently safely on schedule within budget and in strict compliance with our high-quality standards. The Production Manager leads the production team fosters a culture of operational excellence and collaborates cross-functionally to support the companys mission of delivering precision-engineered solutions to its industrial partners.
1st shift: 7:00 am -3:30 pm

Key Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery productivity and quality objectives.
Supervise and coach shop personnel including welders fabricators machine operators and support staff.
Develop implement and optimize production schedules workflows and resource planning to meet project deadlines.
Ensure full compliance with Norcos safety policies and applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
Oversee and enforce quality control protocols; perform regular inspections and audits to maintain standards.
Partner with Engineering Project Management and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment with customer and project requirements.
Monitor inventory levels oversee material usage and support procurement to prevent production delays.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on lean principles waste reduction and throughput efficiency.
Analyze production metrics generate performance reports and communicate findings to senior leadership.
Maintain accurate records of labor materials production outputs and equipment maintenance.
Investigate workplace incidents; lead root-cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Promote a clean organized and safe working environment consistent with Norcos core values.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel fabrication or heavy industrial manufacturing including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes including weldments machining and assembly.
Proficient in production scheduling labor management and shop-floor coordination.
Familiarity with EPICOR and standard business software (MS Office Suite).
Demonstrated leadership organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to interpret and act on production data and quality metrics.
Skilled in prioritizing tasks and managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
