Summary
The Production Associate is part of the Filament Plant Team responsible for performing manufacturing
tasks for our made-to-order composite bearings and related products. Tasks include but are not limited
to gathering and preparing materials transporting material to appropriate work areas applying base
materials to tooling curing materials machining materials to finished dimensions and dimensionally
verifying all work performed where applicable. All work is expected to be done with safe practices and
5S.
This position works in a manufacturing environment typically indoors and includes exposure to dust
particles. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk stand bend and twist; see hear
and talk; use fingers and hands with good hand and finger dexterity to handle or feel controls or
product; use hands and arms to reach hold and carry product. This position also requires a person to
handle different temperatures as the Warehouse is hot in the summer and cooler in the winter. This
position may also require a person to stand for long periods of time possibly up to 10 hours in a day.
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required to be worn during shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work from process sheets blueprints setup sheets setup cards Gemba boards and
verbal as well as written instructions.
Set up adjust and operate production machines in accordance with established
procedures and guidelines.
Use measurement devices like calipers micrometers depth & height gauges snap
gauges and plug gauges.
Ability to use hand tools operate manual machines.
Set up and/or verify preset gauges for proper calibration as required inspect own work
to ensure quality and quantity standards.
Prepare and maintain quality records.
Strong reliability to work as scheduled to meet our customers requirements.
Ability to rotate between multiple machines.

Critical Competencies
Must be able to read and interpret work instructions blueprints and diagrams in
English.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Education and Experience Requirements
Previous experience and demonstrated proficiency in operating manufacturing
equipment preferred.
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent with mechanical aptitude and minimum
one-year previous experience.

However in some instances this job does require work in areas where ear protection is
