About the team
OurRegional Assets business are responsible for managing the maintenance the reliability of our rail network ensuring it is safe and reliable forregional Queensland customers communities and industries.
This position can either be based in Ayr or Townsville and sits within the Structures team consisting of eight Bridgeworkers reporting to a Team Leader. The team works together to cover the regions of theNorth Coast line from Rockhampton to Cairns the Tablelands and Cairns to Forsayth.
About the role
As aBridgeworkeryou will carry out maintenance and repair work on our structures including steel timber and concrete bridges as well as some drainage systems. Youll be responsible for ensuring safe work practices are used and quality standards are met.
This position is always in the field so you must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and be comfortable working from heights.

About you
- Must have current c class drivers licence
- Must have recent labouring / TA experience
- Must have a safety focused attitude
- Must be comfortable working from heights
Salary and roster
- The team generally work 9 on 5 off travelling Monday returning the following Tuesday giving you a 5 day weekend
- Starting salary: $100000 including penalties and allowance plus 12.75% superannuation
