DVM Medical Director
Location: Edmonton AB
Calgary Trail Animal Hospital is currently welcoming a Veterinarian Medical Director to join our team. As a successful candidate you understand the importance of building relationships with our pet parents and our support team to provide the best care possible. We are dedicated to your continuous learning and offer extensive in-house resources. A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada
Experience in soft tissue surgical procedures preventative care and offering nutritional advice.
Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues pet parents and the community
A passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey
An interest in attending conferences and networking with colleagues
A love for all companion animals!!
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mentor and develop a high-performing team of veterinarians and technicians.
Support recruitment performance reviews coaching and ongoing training initiatives.
Ensure excellence in patient care client communication and safety protocols.
Oversee medical standards policies and clinical program implementation.
Collaborate on scheduling productivity goals budgeting and equipment planning.
Act as the responsible veterinarian ensuring regulatory compliance.
Foster a positive collaborative hospital culture through effective leadership and communication.
