Laboratory Assistant - ENV

At SPL were driven by purpose precision and progress. As we continue expanding our impact across environmental science were looking for a detail-oriented safety-focused Laboratory Assistant - ENV to support our team in Kilgore TX.

In this hands-on role youll perform tasks that uphold the integrity of our lab processes from verifying sample documentation and performing QA/QC checks to tracking lab supplies and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. What Youll Do

• Properly dispose of samples and waste in accordance with Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements and established SOPs;
• Perform inspections and maintain components of laboratory cylinders (e.g. valves O-rings pressure gauges);
• Perform appropriate cleaning procedure for specific glassware types;
• Conduct QA/QC checks to verify the effectiveness of cleaning procedures;
• Track inventory of cleaning supplies and glassware used throughout lab operations;
• Execute daily QA/QC checks on analytical and top-load balances across the facility;
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of cleaning and disposal activities;
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area at all times;
• Learn and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and method protocols necessary for daily tasks;
• Other duties as assigned.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 2 years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of formal education;
• Previous lab experience preferred but not required;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word Excel etc.);
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow both written and oral instructions;
• Experience interpreting instructions in various formats (written diagram verbal).

Your Schedule and The Fine Print

• Full-time position following a standard Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts;
• Flexibility to work outside of normal work hours to support business priorities and deadlines.
