Job Description

Our highly regarded Environmental team in Darwin is seeking Graduate to Professional-level Environmental Scientists and Engineers to support a wide range of exciting and meaningful projects across the Defence government mining and energy sectors.

At AECOMs Darwin office youll gain hands-on experience in:

  • Environmental impact assessment and approvals
  • Contaminated land investigations and remediation
  • Hydrology hydrogeology and water quality monitoring
  • Biodiversity surveys and ecological assessments
  • Environmental management planning and auditing

What will a day in this role look like:

  • Conducting fieldwork in diverse and remote environments across the NT and beyond
  • Supporting or leading the preparation of environmental assessments management plans and technical reports
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client-focused outcomes
  • Engaging with clients regulators and stakeholders to support project delivery and business development efforts
  • Contributing to a positive team culture and collaborative knowledge-sharing environment

Qualifications :

The following qualifications and experience are highly desired but if you dont tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply all applications will be considered.

What are we looking for from you 

  • A degree in Environmental Science Engineering or a related field and a valid Australian drivers licence
  • A strong interest or experience in environmental approvals contaminated land or ecological fieldwork with 1 years relevant experience
  • Able to work independently manage competing priorities and get involved across a wide range of projects while contributing to a supportive team-focused environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
  • A proactive attitude curiosity to learn and a commitment to delivering quality work
