QA/QC Engineer – Data Center Construction

Turner & Townsend is hiring a QA/QC (Quality Assurance & Compliance) Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of data center construction projects. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance and control plans conducting inspections and ensuring all work aligns with project specifications regulatory requirements and the clients standards. This role is essential to delivering high-performance mission-critical facilities that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans inspection checklists and quality documentation.
• Review and approve Material Technical Data Sheets (MTDS) for compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare and submit Method Statements Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Procedures.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections and tests on materials equipment and construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with design documents contract requirements and applicable codes and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections approvals and quality sign-offs.
• Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs); implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Track quality metrics and provide regular reports to stakeholders on quality performance.
• Support internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation of quality records.
• Lead and participate in quality-related meetings with project teams and contractors.
• Communicate quality expectations clearly and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Train and guide site personnel on quality standards procedures and best practices.
• Contribute to the preparation of quality turnover packages and final quality reviews.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable. 

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Mechanical Electrical Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
• 35 years of experience in QA/QC roles preferably in data center or mission-critical construction environments.
• Strong understanding of construction processes QA/QC principles and industry standards (e.g. ISO 9001).
• Familiarity with quality standards and data center construction requirements is a plus.
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent attention to detail analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and technical documents.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Six Sigma or equivalent is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to various data center construction sites as required.
