Job Description
Ravenswood is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydneys North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking a dynamic and accomplished Japanese Teacher to join our dedicated Languages team on a temporary part-time basis (0.475 FTE) 19 periods across a 10 day cycle. This role is for a maximum period of one term Term 4 2025 to cover a staff member on leave.
To be successful in this position you will:
- Be an effective classroom teacher with an excellent understanding of the relevant Languages curriculum and pedagogy;
- Have experience teaching Japanese in Years 9 and 10;
- Be knowledgeable in the effective use of ICT to deliver language courses;
- Be confident in differentiating the curriculum in the classroom; and
- Demonstrate a commitment to the co-curricular and wellbeing programs of the school.
