HireNow Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Tax & Audit Manager on behalf of a respected regional public accounting firm known for its high standards collaborative culture and commitment to client success. This is a high-impact leadership role suited for a CPA with deep roots in public accounting a strong background in government and nonprofit audits and a passion for mentorship and strategic advisory.

Youll lead a dedicated team of audit and tax professionals while helping to shape the direction of key client engagements. The firm offers the rare blend of professional autonomy community presence and firmwide support making it a rewarding destination for a results-oriented service-driven leader.

What Youll Do:

• Oversee and manage audit engagements for government entities nonprofit organizations and private clients

• Supervise tax planning compliance and review functions across a broad client base

• Serve as a key advisor to clients offering proactive guidance on financial reporting internal controls and regulatory matters

• Review and approve audit workpapers and financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and GASB standards

• Ensure quality control procedures are maintained throughout the audit cycle

• Actively manage and mentor a team of 4 auditors and tax staff providing technical direction and career development

• Collaborate with firm leadership to identify growth opportunities improve internal processes and support strategic initiatives

• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and provide high-level support during regulatory audits or inquiries

• Stay current on industry standards and best practices while maintaining a hands-on approach to client service

Who Were Looking For:

• CPA license required

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in public accounting

• At least 1 year in a senior management role and 2 years in audit leadership

• Expertise in governmental and nonprofit auditing is a must

• Strong knowledge of GASB U.S. GAAP and audit methodologies

• Experience with audit software such as CaseWare CCH Engagement or similar platforms

• Outstanding communication client management and staff development skills

• Willingness to work onsite at the Marietta or St. Clairsville office as needed

• A hands-on leader who can juggle strategic thinking with day-to-day engagement execution

Compensation & Work Environment:

• Base Salary: $125000 - $150000 USD based on experience

• Bonus Structure: Performance-based incentives discussed during interview process

• Worksite Options: Primarily based in Marietta OH with flexibility to work from the St. Clairsville location

• Relocation Assistance: Not available for this role
