Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lewisham to assist with the appointment of a Targeted Support Officer on a 9-month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 19.50 - 24.87 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Lead termly Targeted Support Meetings with schools local authority teams and external partners.
- Analyse and interpret attendance data using tools like Wonde FFT Studybugs Synergy.
- Advise schools on attendance policies and individual pupil cases.
- Promote a team around the school approach and escalate safeguarding concerns.
- Document and follow up on actions from support meetings.
Knowledge :
- Excellent literacy numeracy and IT skills.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation: Education Act 1996 Pupil Registration Regulations 2024 CME KCSIE etc.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and Early Help procedures.
Experience:
- Significant experience in:
- Multi-agency collaboration
- School attendance analysis and improvement
- Supporting vulnerable children and families
- Drafting formal reports and maintaining records
- Working in an enforcement or investigative role
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
