We are currently seeking a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to join the Association Of Schools and Programs of Public Health team. As the CPO you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing our organizations procurement processes to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This position is vital in driving strategic sourcing initiatives managing vendor relationships and implementing best practices in procurement.
As the Chief Procurement Officer you will be responsible for leading procurement projects negotiating contracts and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Your role will directly impact the financial health of the organization and contribute to its overall success. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the organizations objectives.
- Lead procurement activities including vendor selection contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements in procurement operations.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies procedures and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance and support.
- Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide leadership and mentorship.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
- Experience working in a non-profit or public health organization is a plus.
