Job Description
Job Title: Construction Manager Electrical (Substation / Oil & Gas)
Interview Location: Chennai
Work Location: Saudi Arabia
Experience: 12-18 years
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the construction and installation of electrical systems for HV/MV substations switchyards and oil & gas facilities.
- Manage and coordinate daily construction activities at the site including subcontractor supervision labor planning and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety regulations (e.g. NEC IEC IEEE) and oil & gas industry standards (e.g. API ASME).
- Interpret electrical schematics single-line diagrams and control wiring drawings.
- Monitor the installation of transformers GIS/AIS systems switchgear cabling protection & control panels.
- Collaborate with design procurement QA/QC and commissioning teams.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues on-site.
- Ensure timely project completion while controlling cost and scope.
- Conduct regular inspections safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Track project progress prepare reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with client representatives consultants and third-party inspectors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of construction management experience with at least 4 years in electrical substation or oil & gas projects.
