At the heart of the New South Wales (NSW) planning system the Planning Group takes centre stage. Driven by the NSW Governments unwavering commitment to tackle the critical housing issue we provide essential support and strategic guidance. The Planning Land Use Strategy Housing and Infrastructure (PLUSHI) team are the driving force behind the Departments strategic planning policy rezoning and infrastructure projects all aimed at making New South Wales a better place to live.
The role
The Manager State Rezoning manages and leads the activities of a planning team that undertakes statutory and strategic planning for the delivery of housing and employment priority growth objectives to ensure that NSW Governments priorities are achieved.
Delivering innovative and quality place-based outcomes with a high level of community focus is a key component of this role where you will develop robust precinct plans for areas of major urban renewal and deliver sustainable urban communities which address key housing employment infrastructure cultural heritage and environmental issues.

About you
You will prepare robust place strategies and planning frameworks for urban renewal precincts and areas of land release which address key housing employment transport cultural heritage and environmental issues identifying new and emerging issues in an environment of high political and media interest and manage project budgets including the procurement and oversight of consultants to ensure project deliverables.
