Job Description

About this opportunity :

QC Microbiology Analyst II support manufacturing operations by performing environmental monitoring of the cleanrooms and sampling and testing of the water system as well as perform additional microbial sampling and testing as required. The position works within the QC lab on assigned tasks following written procedures and protocols. The position also assists in the maintenance of overall laboratory systems. This is a weekend position working four 10-hour days Friday-Monday and comes with a 10% shift differential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform water sampling as required per current procedures.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring as required per current procedures.
  • Initiate Alert and Action documents as required.
  • Coordinate with contract labs for sample pickup and material drop-off.
  • Report data and maintain water trending and environmental monitoring data charts and tables.
  • Perform lab housekeeping and maintenance as required.
  • Assist in writing and updating laboratory documents and SOPs as required.
  • Author Alert and Action documents as required.
  • Assist QC team with purchasing and ordering of supplies.
  • Help maintain chemical inventory and lab supplies.
  • Support the QC Team Leader during customer audits as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • BS in Chemistry Biology Microbiology or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 25 years of experience in a microbiological laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency in environmental monitoring and water sampling/testing.
  • Experience with basic microbiological techniques (e.g. Plate counting Gram staining).
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to assist in updating SOPs and laboratory documents.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.

The annualized salary range for this role $$73500.00 - $89000.00.
