Job Description

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience working in Precision Machining. Must have experience and strong knowledge working on HAAS machines Trades certifications demonstrating training on various CNC machines particularly HAAS equipment. Strong expertise in working with HAAS machines Drill Press Milling Machines and Lathes. Comprehensive knowledge of work safety protocols related to machining operations. Ability to prepare students for the National Institute for Metalworking Skills ( NIMS ) certification specifically Machining Level 1. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to students with varying levels of knowledge. Commitment to promoting diversity equity and inclusion in the classroom.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching or instructional experience. Minimum of ten (10) years of hands-on experience working in Precision Machining Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps. Demonstrated experience teaching within a community college. Bilingual or other language proficiency.
