Title: High School Assistant PrincipalReports to: Marblehead High School PrincipalJob Goal:Work closely with High School Principal Assistant Principal Superintendent Assistant Superintendents Directors and staff to design and implement the curriculum and instructional practices in the high school classroom that are consistent with the vision of the high school. Work with the High School Principal and Assistant Principal to create a safe supportive and responsive school Responsibilities:Assumes full responsibility for the building and programming in the absence of the supervise coach and evaluate staff using the Educator Evaluation System under the direction of the the Principal in all administration phases supervision instruction programs curriculum work and program for supervising services and work related to the daily maintenance and operation of the student behavioral expectations laid out in the Student in ensuring all legal and regulatory documents are data to improve the teaching and learning of staff and in the coordination of the High School public relations with the high visibility within the school and communicates closely with students regarding their behavior and performance. Assumes responsibility for administration and supervision of all related student activities regarding their behavior and out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws including interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving Functions of the Job:Must possess the ability to:Apply knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks current state standards and expectations best and differentiated instructional strategies and common assessment instructional and organizational leadership for the an effective learning climate in the the school in adapting to the changing educational environment and implementing program a safe and respectful problem-solve and make difficult decisions based upon the best interests of and support the developmental needs of adolescent effective relationships with students staff parents and community all tasks as the Principal deems necessary to carry out the abovementioned duties and Areas:Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups including staff parents and the general to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and policies. Ability to use technology effectively for administration management and communication.
