Job Summary
A successful NetApp Consulting Solutions Engineer works collaboratively as part of a virtual sales team to design solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. You will own and develop the strategic and technical sales relationship with one our largerst customers in order to deliver world-class customer centric solutions and services. This role has a broad scope of responsibility and requires a solid understanding of both business and technology strategy. Long Description
The ideal candidate profile:
Customer Obsession
- Own manage and develop key customer technical relationships including at the executive level within the BUs you are selling into
- Lead efforts to develop new customer relationships outside of NetApps traditional buying centers
- Proactively advocate for your customer with NetApp Product Management and Engineering so that their requirements are met by NetApp solution
Team Selling/Leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and value propositions that address the unique needs of the customer
- Work directly with all client subsidiaries to drive sales opportunities identify and define Design-Win opportunities and work effectively across NetApp internal functions to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery of solutions acting as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the overall solution lifecycle.
- Orchestrate virtual technical teams to work on customer opportunities while holding them accountable
Technical Curiosity
- Stay up to date with industry trends market dynamics and emerging technologies particularly in the field of storage and data management to provide strategic insights and recommendations to customers
- In-depth knowledge of AI technologies and their applications with the ability to articulate NetApps value proposition to customers.
- in-depth knowledge of Public/Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure and Service Providers.
- Working architectural knowledge of the entire NetApp portfolio to effectively position NetApp product/solutions to customer business problems
*A background with CSPs Hyperscalers or Hi-Tech Large Global Enterprises is highly preferred.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in a related technical selling or systems design or engineering role
- Experience in data storage and infrastructure specifically in creating design win opportunities for customers
- In-depth knowledge of AI technologies and their applications
- Proven track record of driving business growth through technical solutions
- Strong understanding of public/hybrid cloud infrastructure and service providers.
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent additional experience.
The OTE (On Target Earnings) Range for this position is $230000 - 295000 USD and will be determined by the candidates location qualifications experience and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards reflecting a variety of factors and include a comprehensive benefits package.
