Job Description

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to support the maintenance and repair of food processing machinery. The ideal candidate will operate lathe machines to fabricate modify and repair components used in production equipment ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:-
Operate manual or CNC lathe machines to machine parts such as shafts rollers and bushings.

Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints and job orders.

Perform turning facing threading and drilling operations as per specifications.

Ensure all machined parts meet quality and dimensional standards.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to repair or replace worn-out components.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the workshop in line with food safety standards.

Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on machines.

Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts fabricated.

5 years of experience as a lathe operator preferably in a food or manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with machining stainless steel and food-grade materials.

Ability to use precision measuring instruments (micrometer vernier caliper etc.).

Knowledge of safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) in food industry settings.

Physically fit and able to work in a plant environment.
