Job Title: Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Compliance
Location: Poughkeepsie NY
Salary: $80000-$95000 (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time Onsite with Flexible Remote Options

As the AVP of Compliance you will be responsible for leading the compliance department supervising staff monitoring regulatory changes and enforcement actions and ensuring that the Credit Union remains fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Compliance Responsibilities
-Lead the Compliance Department including scheduling hiring performance reviews and team development
-Monitor and analyze new and existing federal/state regulations to ensure timely and accurate compliance across the organization
-Manage fraud and risk systems like Verafin Yellow Hammer and Biocatch to detect and prevent financial crimes
-Serve as the point of contact for audits compliance-related projects and law enforcement inquiries
-Conduct BSA/AML reviews fraud risk assessments and compliance training refreshers
-Collaborate across departments to support internal compliance needs and special projects
Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Compliance Qualifications
-5-8 years of experience in banking credit union or financial services compliance
-Bachelors degree or equivalent industry certifications (CUCOCRCM CAMS BSACS etc.)
-Strong knowledge of regulations including BSA OFAC Reg Z M D E CC and DD
-Proven experience managing or leading a compliance or risk-focused team
-Familiarity with fraud prevention tools and regulatory reporting
-Excellent communication leadership and analytical skills
