Job Description

The Corporate Health and Safety Manager provides health and safety support to division and corporate personnel by developing and administering safety and health programs. This position is drives safety performance and safety culture through objectives and training programs. This position drives continuous improvement and provides technical support to the manufacturing facility leadership teams.

JOB TYPE: FT Permanent

WAGE PER HOUR This is a salaried position. Minimum salary is $65k. Actual salary depends upon qualifications. 

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

OVER TIME: This is an exempt position no OT paid for.

EXPECTED OVER TIME: likely 10-15 a week.

WORKWEEK: M-F

DO YOU HAVE DIFFERENT SHIFTS CAN YOU MENTION HOW MANY IS THE WORKER SHIFTS: This is a day position Standard hours are M-F 8:00 am 4:30 pm.

CAN THEY WORK EXTRA DAYS: this is an exempt position.

WILL THEY WORK WEEKENDS: As needed - exempt position.

PAYMENT DAYS: biweekly on Thursday

PAYMENT TYPE: Direct Deposit

BREAK TIMES: They can take breaks as needed. Typical is 2 rest breaks 1 meal break.

JOB START DATE: ASAP

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION: This position requires approximately 50% travel. We reimburse mileage at the IRS recommended rate.  It varies from year to year but is generally around 55-65 cents per mile.  This year its 65.5 cents per mile.


Qualifications :

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have advanced/master level of Excel Must have intermediate level of other Microsoft office products. Bachelors degree preferred. 3-5 years work experience in occupational health and safety and/or human resources.

Must be willing to take the OSHA 511 course (company paid) upon hire.

  • Do they get hotel night for their overnights when traveling to remote places  Yes.  We have company rates at select hotels they can use. 
  • Do they get per diem for meals or reimbursement  Meal reimbursements. Amount to be discussed with employer.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Yes 3-5 years of work experience in occupational health and safety and/or human resources.

IS HE REQUIRED TO SUPERVISE OTHER WORKERS Will provide indirect supervision of the plant EHS specialists.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK: Worker must be able to provide Carta de No Antecedentes Penales before departure from place of recruitment.

DRUG TEST: Yes must be able to pass a drug test before departure from place of recruitment. Applicants who consume cannabis will not be considered for the position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This is a sedentary position. However they will need to spend time in a manufacturing environment from time to time. They must be able to work in extreme (hot/cold) temps humid conditions. Climb stairs walk etc.

ENGLISH LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: Medium

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: Must be able to speak English read and write.

This position is expected to travel for work and will need to come with or quickly purchase a vehicle. If housing isnt available in New Ulm worker can live in Paynesville and work from Paynesville for up to two months.  

Housing: 

  • Housing: We are looking to find housing in New Ulm. If its secured it will be an apartment that is shared with other workers. If housing isnt available in NU the worker can live in Paynesville for up to two months. 
  • Rooms Shared: See above. Paynesville is shared room. 
  • Rent: New Ulm: Housing is still being sourced and price TBD. / Paynesville: $100/biweekly pay period.
