Our volunteers and vans hit the road every day across Australia and New Zealand helping folks feel seen heard and supported one warm shower one clean load of washing and one good chat at a time.

Over the past nine years weve met thousands of amazing people and heard some incredible stories. Now were on the lookout for someone just as passionate to join our team and help keep the wheels turning literally!

The Role

Reporting to our Asset Ops Specialist youll be one of the key people making sure our vans are safe reliable and ready to roll. Youll help manage our fleet across Aus and NZ coordinating maintenance sorting out any unexpected hiccups and making sure everythings running smoothly behind the scenes. Its a hands-on get-stuff-done kind of role where youll be working closely with our Vehicle Leaders partners suppliers and contractors to keep services running and support our volunteers and friends in the community.

What youll be doing (in a nutshell)

• Helping our vehicles stay roadworthy safe and ready for action
• Jumping in to coordinate maintenance and respond to incidentswith urgency and effective resolutions
• Supporting repairs upgrades and new builds of our vehicles
• Travelling to services as needed to provide on-the-ground support
• Contributing to develop and implement strategies to improve and expand community impact with a focus on building service efficiency and stakeholder support programs
• Building strong ongoing relationships with Vehicle Leaders providing regular updates and support to keep them engaged and informed
• Building strong connections with our team volunteers and external partners and suppliers
• Pitching in with stock and inventory tasks
• Using data and info to help make smart decisions and improve how we roll
• Being the go-to person when a vans having a bad day

What you bring to the table

• You build great relationships and know how to communicate with all kinds of stakeholders
• Youre organised reliable and know how to juggle priorities like a pro and work towards tight deadlines
• Youre proactive love problem-solving and able to think on your feet
• Youre good with some travel and occasional after-hours support when needed
• Youre passionate about what we do and want to help make a difference
• Bonus points if youve worked in asset/fleet coordination before but not a deal breaker
