Job Description:
- The Technician will be responsible for PC/Laptop Refresh and Imaging; prepare deploying and maintaining workstations (laptops and desktops) for end-users ensuring that new and refreshed devices are ready for use with the required operating system software and configurations. This role involves hands-on technical work including hardware setup imaging software installation and basic troubleshooting.
- Imaging and deployment: Create update and deploy desktop/laptop images using tools like Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) or similar solutions ensuring devices meet company standards and have necessary software and configurations.
- Hardware and software management: Manage hardware upgrades software integration and the monthly deployment of security patches. Maintain detailed records of refresh processes configurations and inventory.
- Troubleshooting and support: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware and software responding to or escalating service requests and incidents promptly.
- Documentation and training: Document procedures user interactions and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Assist with creating end-user documentation and provide training on new setups.
- Inventory management: Track and manage hardware inventory throughout the refresh cycle including asset details serial numbers and the disposition of old equipment
